Social Impact Intern

New Sector Alliance | Boston, MA (Hybrid: Cambridge + Remote)

New Sector Alliance is seeking a Summer Associate to support high-impact work across fundraising, program delivery, and operations. As part of a small, mission-driven team, this role offers meaningful ownership, close collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to strengthening the nonprofit sector.

Over the summer, the Associate will play a key role in supporting our Leadership Longevity Annual Convening, including event planning, materials development, and coordination. The role will also contribute to fundraising efforts by drafting grant proposals, conducting research on prospective funders, and supporting development of key materials. Additional responsibilities may include supporting program design, refining communications, and assisting with alumni data and internal projects as needed.

This hybrid role is based in the Boston area, with opportunities to work both remotely and onsite at the Cambridge Community Foundation. The Associate will report to the Chief of Staff and collaborate with senior team members across the organization.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented candidate with strong writing and research skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and an interest in nonprofit leadership or social impact.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build relationships with leaders in the field, and contribute to work that drives meaningful change.
