Overview:
We are excited to announce the J.Jill Internship Program – our 10-week paid summer internship running from June through August 2026. Designed for rising juniors and seniors, this program provides hands-on exposure to a leading specialty retail company. Interns will contribute to daily business activities within their assigned departments while also gaining a broader understanding of J.Jill through cross-functional learning opportunities. This is a full-time program based at our office in Quincy, Massachusetts. Provides omnichannel writing, editing, and strategic support to senior copy associates. This includes assisting with catalog, email, web, paid media, organic social, and various other projects and workstreams. Participates in all creative reviews alongside senior copy associates and works with cross-functional partners in marketing, merch, and design as needed.
Responsibilities:
Learns and adheres to the J.Jill Copy Style and Brand Voice in all writing assignments.
Acts as omnichannel support to senior copy associates.
Attends copy meetings and project kickoffs for assigned projects.
Writes, edits and rewrites as directed on a variety of projects which could include emails, paid media banners, web product copy, organic social captions and in-art copy, SEO copy, etc.
Maintains copy files as directed.
Effectively organizes and prioritizes workload in a fast-paced environment while remaining nimble and accurate when last-minute changes occur.
Inputs line edits as directed across omnichannel projects.
Maintains high standards for writing and self-editing.
Maintains a positive, can-do attitude under pressure.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, fashion, marketing or related field.
Experience writing fashion/lifestyle copy.
Strong interest in fashion design and lifestyle market.
Desire to learn technical terms related to garment construction.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be a clear and direct communicator.
Must be able to positively take direction and feedback and apply (and extrapolate) appropriately.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, and ideally Sharepoint).
Mac experience preferred. DAM and project management tool experience a plus.
Writing samples and/or copy test required.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work, prolonged periods of time working at a desk and on a computer.
Ability to communicate information and observe details at close range.
Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Salary Range: USD $20.00-$22.00
