Creative Intern

Kinetic Academy | Summer 2026


The Kinetic Academy is a 10-week internship program designed to immerse aspiring creatives in the fast-paced world of advertising. As a Creative Intern (in art direction or copywriting), you’ll work alongside Art Directors, Copywriters, and other makers to develop compelling, strategic, and innovative work across a variety of media platforms. You’ll gain real-world experience collaborating on projects for high-profile clients, contributing to the creative process from concept  to execution.


What You'll Learn

  • The agency’s creative and production workflow process

  • How to understand and adapt to a client's business, industry, and brand voice and style

  • How to craft creative concepts that align with strategic insights, branding guidelines, and
    current industry trends

  • A working knowledge of current trends in media, pop culture, style, and language

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Copywriters, Designers, Account teams, Strategists, and
    Production teams under the guidance of Creative leadership

  • Contribute to the development of concepts, writing copy, and crafting visuals for print,
    digital, and broadcast platforms

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of original ideas

  • Assist with the production process, from initial concept through final deployment, working
    closely with internal and external partners

  • Develop an understanding of client-specific requirements, including regional nuances
    and brand guidelines

  • Gain exposure to multiple forms of production, including video shoots, audio sessions,
    and digital content creation

Qualifications

  • A portfolio showcasing creative problem-solving and storytelling skills (student or
    professional work)

  • Currently pursuing a degree in advertising, journalism, creative writing, design, or a
    related field

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Passion for the marketing and advertising industry

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word
    is a plus
