About the Course
This is a practice-based, introductory-level course designed to provide students with an understanding of how sound contributes to filmmaking and media production. The class is built around students becoming the "Sound Team" for a short film on which they’ll collaborate. In doing so, they'll learn how — and why — to use such key tools as shotgun mics, boom poles, lav mics, digital recording decks, and computer-based tools for mixing and scoring.
